The GETH-2wire-TX-OF is a transmitter module that enables the transmission of Ethernet data and PoE power via any two wires in a cable. It is equipped with an RJ45 input port and a DATA screw terminal for connection to another GETH-2wire module. It offers data transmission at speeds of up to 400 Mb/s over distances of up to 750 m when using Category 5e UTP cable. This solution allows the use of existing cabling where replacement is impossible or uneconomical, e.g. when upgrading analogue CCTV systems to IP systems, replacing an intercom with an IP video intercom, or using telephone cables for Ethernet transmission.Key features:Ethernet and power transmission over 2 wiresbandwidth up to 400 Mb/stransmission range up to 750 m802.3af/at/bt PoE power supplylocal power supply 24–56 VDCRJ45 port and DATA connectorcapable of connecting up to 4 devices via PoEcapable of daisy-chaining multiple modules on a single linksupports star, bus and tree topologiestransmission encryption capabilityoperating status indicated by LEDsautomatic configurationOpen Frame version for panel mountingThe module can be powered via a PoE switch compliant with the 802.3af/at/bt standard or locally with a voltage of 24–56 VDC. When powered via PoE, a single transmitter can support up to 4 GETH-2wire-RX receivers. The modules can be connected in various topologies, such as star, bus or tree, and more than two devices can be used on a single link. The GETH-2wire-TX-OF also offers transmission encryption and indicates operational status, connection status and bandwidth via LEDs. The module’s IP address is automatically assigned by a DHCP server, and connection parameters can be checked via a web browser. The OF (Open Frame) version is designed for installation in dedicated ABOX series enclosures or on mounting plates with 10.8 mm pitch holes. The device does not require complex configuration and can operate with various types of cable; however, the transmission parameters specified apply to Category 5e UTP twisted-pair cable. The GETH-2wire-TX-OF and GETH-2wire-RX-OF modules are sold individually, and a minimum of two modules connected to each other via two wires through the DATA connector are required for correct operation. The maximum actual throughput and range depend on the type and quality of the cable, the number of connections and the installation conditions.
