The GETH-COAX-RX-OF is a receiver module designed for the transmission of Ethernet data and PoE power via coaxial cable. It is equipped with an RJ45 output and a BNC connector and enables bidirectional transmission at speeds of up to 1 Gb/s. The module is compatible with devices from the GETH-COAX series, allowing existing coaxial cables to be used to build an Ethernet network and power PoE IP cameras. Under the right conditions, transmission speeds can reach 1000 Mb/s over distances of up to 500 m and 50 Mb/s over distances of up to 1000 m. The maximum range depends, amongst other things, on the length and quality of the cable and the BNC connectors used.Key features:Ethernet transmission up to 1 Gb/scoaxial cable transmission up to 1,000 mPoE power supply up to 60 Wsupport for 802.3af/at/bt PoE standardsBNC connector and RJ45 portsupport for 50 Ω and 75 Ω cablestransmission encryption capabilitysupport for various network topologiesOpen Frame version for installationThe GETH-COAX-RX-OF features an RJ45 output that supports powering IP devices via PoE in accordance with the 802.3af/at standard. The module is powered by 24–56 VDC via the POWER screw terminal, and transmits data and power to subsequent GETH-COAX modules via a coaxial cable. The devices can be connected in various topologies, such as star, bus or tree, whilst the BNC connectors allow the modules to be connected in various combinations. A transmission encryption function is also available, along with LED indicators showing power, connection, transmission and bandwidth status. The module has a MAC address, whilst the IP address is automatically assigned by a DHCP server. The OF (Open Frame) version has been designed for installation in any enclosure, particularly in dedicated ABOX series enclosures and on mounting plates with 10.8 mm pitch holes. The device does not require any complicated configuration and automatically adapts to the parameters of the cable used once connected. The modules can operate with coaxial cables with impedances of 50 Ω and 75 Ω. Please note that the GETH-COAX-TX-OF and GETH-COAX-RX-OF are sold separately, and at least two modules connected by a coaxial cable via BNC connectors are required for correct operation. The maximum transmission distance depends, amongst other things, on the length and cross-section of the cable, the quality of the connectors and the number of intermediate connections.
